Abstract |
Combating juvenile delinquency is always one of the most important issues for the study of legal science and society. Unfortunately, the current crisis indicates unfavourable statistics on juvenile delinquency and suggests that such results may continue. This forces the entire legal and legislative sphere to look for opportunities and ways to solve this problem. One of the most effective measures in this area is the improvement of criminal law measures applied to juvenile offenders. The article deals with issues related to the peculiarities of criminal responsibility and punishment of minors, gaps in their modern legal regulation, as well as ways to eliminate them, taking into account the best foreign experience. The current criminal legislation contains norms that reveal the essence and principles of combating juvenile delinquency, but the practice of application indicates that there are some problems and significant difficulties in this area. |
